Andhra Pradesh Set to Launch MSME Digitisation Initiative September 18, 2024 MSME Sampark Msme News 0 The Andhra Pradesh government is preparing to launch MSMELink, a flagship program aimed at accelerating the digitisation of MSMEs across the state. This initiative, spearheaded by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, will focus on integrating farmers and DWCRA groups in the development of MSME parks as part of a pilot project. The government has also initiated a skill census to identify skill advantages and gaps within various industries, marking a first-of-its-kind exercise in India. The MSMELink initiative has garnered strong support from key stakeholders, with Minister for MSMEs and NRI Empowerment Kondapalli Srinivas extending his full backing. The initiative is expected to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by enhancing their market reach and operational efficiency through digital transformation. Satish Babu M, Founder and Managing Director of Tech-Mark Training, stated that the initiative aims to provide expert guidance and training to MSMEs, with Andhra Pradesh serving as the base for this national effort. “For the first time in India, MSMEs will have access to trained professionals who will offer handholding support at their doorstep, driving growth and innovation,” said Satish Babu. The program is designed to bridge skill gaps by equipping students to assist MSMEs with essential tools for both domestic and international market access. This support will help small businesses improve productivity and meet industry benchmarks. The MSMELink initiative will soon expand into the handloom and handicraft industries in partnership with relevant stakeholders. By providing resources directly to artisans and craftspeople, the initiative will enable them to connect with new markets, boosting their incomes and preserving Andhra Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage. Satish Babu also shared details of a meeting with Dr. S. Greep, Director of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission, and VRVR Naik, CEO of the AP Khadi and Village Industries Board. Both leaders expressed their support for MSMELink’s mission to connect khadi artisans with broader marketplaces, ensuring greater visibility and opportunities for these traditional industries. In addition, the second Global Skill, MSME & AI Congress & Expo 2025 is being planned, which will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the future of skills development and digital transformation within the MSME sector. The event is expected to foster collaboration and innovation, aligning with the vision of sustainable growth for MSMEs. Tech-Mark also announced a separate initiative to donate one million magazines from various international publications to government schools across Andhra Pradesh. The magazines will help establish small libraries, providing students with valuable reading resources that encourage lifelong learning. In closing, Satish Babu expressed gratitude to Ravi Vemuri and Seshubabu Kanuri of APNRT for their ongoing support in driving these initiatives forward. Joydeep Banerjee, Senior Advisor at Tech-Mark, praised the progressive efforts of the Andhra Pradesh government, calling the support for MSME transformation “commendable.” Disclaimer: The information provided in this article is based on updates and reports gathered from various sources.
